Minutes of the Public Hearing for the 2026 preliminary Budget  held November 7, 2025 at the Smithfield Community Center commencing at 7:10 pm.

Others Present: No members of the public present.

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 pm by Supervisor Stokes with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Resolution #71 – 2024 Move to open Scheduled Public Hearing for 2026 Preliminary Budget

On a motion of Supervisor Thomas Stokes seconded by Councilperson Richard Looft the following resolution #71 was Adopted:

Ayes 3, Supervisor Stokes, Councilpersons Richard Looft, Brenda Goff
Nays 0

Resolved that the Public Hearing for 2025 Budget be opened at 7:10 pm.

With no one present to speak for or against the proposed 2026 Preliminary Budget, a motion to close public hearing was made by Councilperson Richard Looft seconded by Councilperson Brenda Goff.

On a motion made by Supervisor Stokes, Seconded by Councilperson Richard Looft the

Public Hearing was closed @ 7:12 pm

With no further business, on a motion made by Supervisor Stokes, seconded by Councilperson Brenda Goff, the meeting was adjourned at 7:20 pm. Carried unanimously.
