Applications to the planning board and ZBA require public hearings and notice; please be aware that this can take time.

Please note there are no refunds of application fees.

Per New York State Law,  all Building Permit applications must include a Certificate of Liability Insurance and Workman’s Compensation Insurance.

The application process always​ starts with the code enforcement officer. They will assist in filling out the proper application and making sure the project is referred to the correct board (if needed). They are happy to speak with you about your project prior to having an application completed. Only after the code enforcement officer has reviewed the application will the town clerk accept the appropriate fee, handle any necessary legal notices, and forward referrals to the county for review.
