July 2026 – Madison County Announces 3rd Annual Photo Contest
Wampsville, NY – Are you a photographer, or an aspiring one, or you just like to take pictures? Madison County is now accepting submissions for the 3rd Annual Madison County Photo Contest. Residents are encouraged to submit photos to be featured in the 2027 calendar.
This year, in honor of America’s 250th Birthday, we are asking for photos that capture the people, places and things that represent Madison County’s or your Town’s impact on history. Help us show the world the pride we have in our community.
There will be one winning photograph showcasing each Town, and four from the City of Oneida. Of the 19 photos highlighting the County, one Grand Prize Winner will be selected. The Grand Prize, thanks to Visit Madison County, is a $100 gift card for the Ye Olde Landmark Tavern in Bouckville.
All winning photos will be displayed in the hallway leading to the Board of Supervisors Chambers in the County Office Building located in Wampsville, NY. As well as featured in a 2027 calendar, that will be for sale in November 2026.
Residents can submit any number of photos taken on any device, so long as the photos meet the qualifications guidelines. Each photographer, however, will only be selected to win once. Winners should be prepared to submit a high-resolution photo if selected.
Each submission must be from a Madison County resident and include:
- Must be from a resident of Madison County
- Must depict Madison County or Town or Village history, or be patriotic
- Photo(s) (landscape orientation versus portrait preferred)
- Location taken (City or Town)
